Antique 1858 edition of The Minstrel by James Beattie, published by George Routledge & Co., London, with a New York imprint (18 Beekman Street). Features thirty-three designs by renowned illustrator Myles Birket Foster, engraved by the Brothers Dalziel.
This early Victorian decorative edition showcases an ornate embossed maroon cloth binding with a central gilt title panel. The book retains a period ownership inscription dated 1868 (“Julia M. DuReis”) on the front endpaper, adding to its provenance. Printed by Richard Clay, Bread Street Hill, London.
