Botanical Description
The genus Pelargonium, which is typically South African, was far more prominent in European gardens during the eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries than it is to-day, and it is mainly those species with more decorative flowers that are still grown. P. moniliforme is found in the western area of the Karroo and Namaqualand. In this area it remains leafless and dormant during the winter, and then in spring, about.
