This rare Curtis’s Botanical Magazine booklet features a  genuine uncolored lithographic plate originally printed in the mid 1800s by Reeve & Co., with government surplus provenance traced via the Royal Horticultural Society and H.M. Stationery Office (HMSO).

Each booklet includes:

  • One original uncolored plant plate (approx. 9.75 x 6 inches) Individual plate images will vary.

  • Historical wrapper: A Short History of Curtis’s Botanical Magazine 1787–1914

  • “Uncolored Specimen” ink stamp verifying surplus proof status

These were part of a mid-20th century surplus dispersal to scientific dealers such as Wheldon & Wesley Ltd., ultimately handled by Thrifty Whiskers LLC. Full provenance is documented.
